FLINT, Mich. –On Monday, construction will begin on a new auto parts plant in Flint that will provide hundreds of new jobs.
The Lear Corporation plans to break ground on a seat manufacturing plant on the site of the old Buick headquarters building on Hamilton Avenue.
The state approved about $4 million in tax incentives for the project.
In addition to the state incentive, Flint also is offering a 50% tax abatement.
The new plant will create 435 jobs.
