The Department of Management in the Trulaske College of Business at University of Missouri (MU) invites applicants with excellent teaching credentials in operations and supply chain management for a non-tenure track (NTT), full-time teaching position. Candidates must have already completed a Ph.D. degree in a related area (preferred) or a masters degree in a related area with extensive work experience in related areas. Applicant must be available to start teaching undergraduate operations management classes on campus by August 21, 2017. Overall teaching load will be equivalent to twelve credit hours per semester.
This position is expected to initially include teaching four sections of MANGMT 4010/7010 Operations Management per semester with an average of 40-45 students per section. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to teach a MBA course in Operations Strategy after the initial semester. The person in this position is expected to assume active service roles related to undergraduate and/or MBA curriculum development and quality assurance at department and college levels. Availability to teach an 11-week online summer class in operations management for extra income is expected.
Key skills sought include: ability to engage students in both face-to-face, hybrid, and completely online formats; effective use of a variety of assessment methods; currency in operations management and supply chain management domains; familiarity with learning management systems for grade management and reporting; and collegiality in service roles involving curriculum design, integration, and evaluation.
Ph.D. in related area strongly preferred or Masters Degree in related area with extensive work experience in related area. Previous college teaching experience highly desirable.
