As per a report published by Manufacturing Outlook, concentrating on the Automobile and Trade Industry, the leading consulting firm, AlixPartners predicts that a majority of advantages obtained through labor cost and work associated with shifting companies to nearby countries will be lost if the organization doesn’t spend on developing more automated vehicles in the coming years.
The researchers at AlixPartners have also emphasized that the implementation costs have substantially reduced and automation technologies have improved. As a result of this, the manufacturers can increase their production capabilities, and replace the tasks that are done by humans through automotive machines. Well, if you plan on near-shoring your company, then Crowdz is one of the fastest growing supply chains that can help you shape your existing technology in today’s world.
The Managing Director of AlixPartners New York, Foster Finley said that to make more use of automotive and advanced technologies, the manufacturers will have to make large-scale investments; the human workforce can never be replaced by any machine. The automation further opens new scope for skills that a person can learn and excel in increasing the production by great length.
He further said that with the automation technology becoming more affordable and accessible everywhere, the industries have to be more compliant to these technologies and adapt themselves to it; they should focus more on developing talented employees that can align themselves according to how robots and the robotics technology will work.
According to a major survey done on top distribution and manufacturing companies in Western Europe and some parts of U.S, the study shows that almost 70 percent of people believe that through near-shoring, the consumer’s demand can be thoroughly achieved. The survey recorded a peak growth of 30% from last year’s survey.
Foster Finley further added that due to more near-shoring of companies, the employees are facing a hard time and finding it more challenging to find adaptive employees who can fill in the big roles like supervisors, managers, and product engineers.
In the survey, few of them also would like to see more investments in automation technologies to thrive the production.
So, in a nutshell, it is expected that the human resource capital would be increased with more incentives and higher salaries, and the companies will be placing their bet on the new advanced technologies too.
Another point that researchers brought forward is that the Electronics and Automotive Industries have adapted to the automation technology. Industries like instrumentation, pulp and paper industries, pharmaceutical and medical equipment industries are still planning to shift to automation technology in the near future.
